Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus Renders Reveal New Camera Island

Previously, the mobile industry almost flagged that Samsung would discontinue the production of the Galaxy S26 Plus to replace it with the thin Edge version, but recently the situation has been reversed, the Edge has been canceled instead, and the S26 Plus is back in the early 2026 launch plan with the first renders leaked.

This set of images comes from OnLeaks via Android Headlines, revealing a design that retains the full identity of the Galaxy. The highlight is the small strip camera island under the triple lens, similar to the S26 Ultra and S26 Pro that were leaked earlier. The latter two models are likely not to be produced.

Several months ago, the Galaxy S26 rumors were very chaotic. It was reported that it would be a major facelift, divided into Ultra Edge and Pro, but recently, Samsung reversed the same formula. Use the Plus name instead of Edge and the standard version instead of Pro.

According to Android Headlines, the S26 Plus is 7.35 mm thick, equivalent to the S25 Plus and 5.8 mm thicker than the S25 Edge. While the regular S26 is 7.24 mm thick.

There is still hope for thin fans, because the Galaxy Club reports that Samsung continues to develop the code model More Slim. Launched a few months after the main series, similar to the S25 Edge.

Finally, the answer is whether the S26 Edge will return or stop only one model. We have to wait for the Galaxy S26 Series launch event in early 2026, which is probably the most eye-catching mobile event of the year.

THIS IS OUR SAY
Samsung is clearly doubling down on the S‑series “Plus” variant rather than removing it, and the camera redesign indicates a real push to refresh the visual identity of its flagship line. For mobile photography fans, keep an eye on this one.
