Dynasty Warriors Origins: Visions of Four Heroes Officially Launched
KOEI Tecmo has officially announced the new expansion for Dynasty Warriors Origins, titled Visions of Four Heroes, during the State of Play Japan event. Pre-orders are available now, and the expansion will release on January 22, 2026, across all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch 2.
Visions of Four Heroes presents a fresh “What-if” storyline offering alternate perspectives of iconic characters Zhao Yun, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao, and Lu Bu. While it does not impact the main plot, players can experience new gameplay by taking control of these leaders and their companions. New playable characters include Zhu He, a young warrior-in-training, Diao Chan, and additional yet-to-be-revealed characters.
The expansion also introduces new weapons, such as the bow and rope sword, specific to the companions, while existing weapons receive additional unlockable skills. A new mode, Training Ground, allows unlimited battles against enemies. Players who pre-order the expansion will receive a special costume inspired by the Yellow Turban rebels. All content becomes playable after clearing Chapter 1.
Dynasty Warriors Origins is a legendary hack-and-slash action game that immerses players in the epic battles of the Three Kingdoms era.
