Pokémon UNITE Ends Aeos Coin on December 4 with New License System

Pokémon UNITE has officially announced the end of its Aeos Coin currency system, effective December 4, 2025. Since the game’s launch, TiMi Studio has maintained a steady flow of new Pokémon and content, allowing players to enjoy seamless progression. However, the traditional method of unlocking Pokémon through Aeos Coin will soon be retired.

The in-game announcement confirmed that Aeos Coin will no longer be obtainable after the update on December 4. All remaining Aeos Coins can still be used to unlock items and Licenses until May 2026. After this date, players will unlock Pokémon Licenses through a new License Journey system, which allows players to earn points for specific Pokémon either via random rewards or through leveling up the Battle Pass, without additional monetary cost.

Previously, Aeos Coins could be earned through gameplay or missions, with a weekly cap of 2,100 coins, often used to unlock Pokémon. The transition to License Journey ensures that players continue to access new Pokémon while removing the reliance on Aeos Coins.

Pokémon UNITE is a 5v5 MOBA that emphasizes team collaboration and strategic gameplay. Players compete to score points alongside their teammates, battle wild Pokémon, level up, and evolve their Pokémon to prevent opponents from gaining advantages across maps with varying rules and challenges. The License Journey update introduces a fresh progression system while keeping the core gameplay intact.
