Resident Evil Requiem PC Performance Assured by Capcom

Following the performance issues that troubled Monster Hunter Wilds on PC earlier this year, Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem will not face similar problems. The developer is actively optimizing the game to run smoothly across a wide range of PC specifications, ensuring players get a consistent and stable experience from day one.

Why Resident Evil Requiem Won’t Repeat Monster Hunter Wilds’ Issues
During a recent financial results briefing, Capcom addressed investor concerns regarding PC performance. Many questioned whether Resident Evil Requiem would suffer the same frame rate drops and resource-heavy issues as Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom explained that the game’s architecture, system design, and network features differ significantly from Monster Hunter Wilds, meaning similar problems are unlikely to arise.

Capcom further clarified that Resident Evil Requiem is being optimized for both entry-level and high-end PCs, in contrast to Monster Hunter Wilds, which has drawn criticism for underperforming even on top-tier hardware.

Monster Hunter Wilds Updates
Capcom is still addressing Monster Hunter Wilds’ issues. The upcoming Title Update 4, scheduled for December 16, will improve both CPU and GPU performance and introduce new content, including the ancient dragon Gogmazios from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, along with a variety of new weapons and armor for players to customize their characters.

Resident Evil Requiem PC Requirements
Capcom revealed the minimum and recommended PC specifications for Resident Evil Requiem back in October. The minimum requirements include an Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500 CPU, 16GB RAM, and a GTX 1660 or Radeon 5500 XT GPU. Recommended specs are Intel Core i7-8700 or Ryzen 5 5500 paired with an RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 6600, ensuring smooth performance at higher settings.

A Story of Horror and Mystery
Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth main entry in the survival horror series. It follows Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa, a resilient journalist who survived the T-Virus outbreak in 1998. Grace becomes the center of a mysterious murder case and must navigate a nightmarish world tied to her memories, which may also connect to a forgotten past of the town. The game is set to launch on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

This Is Our Say
Capcom’s proactive approach to PC optimization shows that the company has learned from past mistakes with Monster Hunter Wilds. While confident claims are promising, the real test will come once players worldwide experience Resident Evil Requiem firsthand. If successful, it could set a new standard for PC performance in high-end survival horror games, proving Capcom’s ability to deliver both immersive story and smooth gameplay in the modern era.
