What’s Happening to Highguard? Official Website Suddenly Offline

Concerns are growing around Highguard, as the game’s official website has suddenly gone offline without any explanation from the developers. As a result, many fans are now questioning the long-term future of the project, especially given the game’s declining player activity in recent weeks.
Highguard originally drew attention as an online action shooter developed with the involvement of former developers from Apex Legends and other well-known FPS titles. At launch, the game saw strong momentum, reaching more than 90,000 concurrent players. However, despite early interest, that number has steadily dropped over time. Even recent updates, including the addition of a 5v5 mode, have failed to reverse the downward trend.
The situation became more alarming when players noticed that Highguard’s official website now displays only a black background with the message “Site Unavailable.” All other sections of the site appear inaccessible. At the same time, the game’s social media channels have remained silent since the latest patch update on February 12, offering no clarification or reassurance to the community.
This silence has caused understandable anxiety among players. Previously, the development team publicly stated that Highguard would receive at least 12 months of active support after launch. Now, with the website offline and no recent communication, players are unsure whether those plans are still in place or if the project is facing deeper internal challenges.

Current player statistics further add to the concern. According to publicly available data, Highguard now averages only around 500 to 1,000 concurrent players. This represents a dramatic decline from its initial peak and raises questions about sustainability for a competitive PvP-focused shooter.
About Highguard Games
For those unfamiliar, Highguard is a first-person shooter that blends fast-paced gunplay with fantasy elements and magic-based abilities. Players take on the role of “Wardens,” warriors who wield supernatural powers in PvP modes ranging from direct combat to objective-based battles. The game’s stylized 3D visuals and hybrid shooter-magic gameplay were intended to set it apart in a crowded genre.
At the time of writing, there has been no official statement explaining the website outage or addressing concerns about the game’s future. Naturally, many fans are hoping the issue is temporary and that the developers will soon provide clarity. Until then, Highguard remains in an uncertain position, with its community watching closely for any sign of reassurance or recovery.
