iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max Launch with A19 Pro Chip and Fusion Cameras

Apple Unveils iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max with A19 Pro Chip and Fusion Triple Camera

Apple officially launched the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max on September 9, 2025, marking a major leap in smartphone design and performance. Both models are powered by the all-new A19 Pro chip, the most powerful and energy-efficient processor ever in an iPhone. The chip delivers next-level performance for gaming, video production, and seamless use of Apple Intelligence. Apple also introduced its custom-designed vapor chamber cooling system, laser-bonded with aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring sustained peak performance and improved battery life.

The iPhone 17 Pro lineup debuts the new Fusion triple-camera system with three 48MP lenses: Main, Ultra Wide, and an upgraded Telephoto that rivals the quality of eight professional lenses. The Telephoto lens now supports up to 8x optical zoom, making it the most advanced zoom ever on iPhone. A new 18MP Center Stage front camera elevates selfies and video calls with sharper details. For professional creators, advanced features such as ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, and genlock integration make the iPhone compatible with both small- and large-scale productions. Both the front and back are protected by Ceramic Shield 2, offering triple the scratch resistance and four times the shatter protection compared to previous designs.

The new unibody aluminum chassis, made from aerospace-grade 7000-series alloy, improves heat dissipation and allows space for larger batteries. The iPhone 17 Pro features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display, while the Pro Max comes with a 6.9-inch screen. Both support ProMotion 120Hz, Always-On display, and reach peak brightness up to 3000 nits, the brightest ever on iPhone. The A19 Pro chip includes a 6-core CPU, 6-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, and a 16-core Neural Engine, delivering up to 40% improved sustained performance—ideal for running AAA games like Arknights: Endfield and large AI models.

The upgraded 48MP rear cameras feature a 56% larger Telephoto sensor, providing sharper images in both bright and low-light conditions. Portraits benefit from 4x optical zoom at 100mm, while 8x zoom at 200mm captures stunning detail. The enhanced Photonic Engine uses AI to reduce noise and optimize color accuracy. A redesigned square front camera enables seamless landscape and portrait captures without rotating the device. Center Stage intelligently adjusts framing for group selfies, while Dual Capture lets users record with front and rear cameras simultaneously. The iPhone also supports 4K HDR ultra-stable video and FaceTime auto-framing.

In select markets such as the US and Japan, iPhone 17 Pro models ship with eSIM only, allowing for larger battery capacity that extends video playback up to 39 hours, two hours longer than before. Running on iOS 26, the devices integrate Apple Intelligence with real-time text and voice translation in Messages, FaceTime, and Phone. Visual intelligence allows advanced searches from screenshots, while the new Liquid Glass design refines the look of apps and the system interface. iOS 26 also expands CarPlay, Apple Music, Maps, Wallet, and introduces the Apple Games app, consolidating gaming into one hub.

The iPhone 17 Pro starts at 256GB storage for 43,900 THB, while the Pro Max begins at 48,900 THB. Both are available in new cosmic orange, deep blue, and silver finishes. Pre-orders open on September 12, with worldwide availability across 63 countries on September 19.
