Digimon Story Time Stranger Demo Available Now Free

The long-awaited Digimon Story: Time Stranger is almost here, and Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially confirmed that fans will be able to try out the game early with a free demo. This new entry marks the franchise’s long-awaited return to the RPG genre, powered by next-gen technology, and will also be showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2025.

While exact demo content has not been revealed, the official social media teaser hints at Shinjuku as a playable starting area. This suggests that players will experience parts of the human world, providing a glimpse into the game’s backstory and mechanics. The console demo will go live on September 10 at 22:00, while the PC version via Steam will be available on September 11 at 05:00.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger will officially launch on October 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Pre-orders are available now, with bonuses including exclusive Black Agumon and Black Gabumon skins. A Digital Deluxe edition will also be offered, featuring additional Digimon and extra quests.

As the newest chapter in the Digimon Story series, the game places players in the role of an agent from a secret organization tasked with time-travel missions. The story dives deep into a crisis that threatens to engulf Tokyo in flames, blending turn-based combat with exploration of the digital world. With over 450 Digimon available to collect, train, and build into teams, fans can expect an expansive RPG experience.
