Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Ever Crisis Announcement

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is celebrating its second anniversary with a massive content drop that brings beloved narratives from the broader FFVII universe directly into gameplay. Beginning in September, the Advent Children event introduces a playable adult Sephiroth, Bahamut SIN as a summon, and the ability to acquire and equip enemy abilities. The excitement continues with Final Fantasy XIII-themed content arriving in November, followed by NieR crossover events set for December, ensuring a nonstop stream of new ways to engage the story.
Advent Children’s inclusion is especially notable because it marks the first time the movie’s narrative will be interactively relived in a game, complete with gear for characters like Cloud, Tifa, Yuffie, and Young Sephiroth sporting their movie outfits, and even a chance to play as Sephiroth himself. Following that, SEA players can look forward to a Final Fantasy XIII event where Lightning becomes the featured boss and Aerith and Tifa receive new outfits inspired by her iconic look. In December, the NieR collaboration will light up the title with fresh content drawing from Replicant, Reincarnation, and Automata.
All of these crossover additions affirm the game’s goal of expanding its replayable, episodic format. It initially presented players with beautifully reimagined chibi-style retellings of the main FFVII game, Crisis Core, Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus, and even Advent Children in episodic form, complete with a timeline-based chapter system and an Active Time Battle gameplay style. The inclusion of these crossover events reflects a move toward broader collaboration, also signaling more future features from across the Final Fantasy franchise—permanent partnerships that promise to enrich the gameplay for years ahead.
On top of rich content drops, development behind the scenes continues to move forward. Square Enix producer Tetsuya Nomura shared that the third and final part of the FFVII Remake series is progressing very smoothly, with the announcement timing already decided, and Kingdom Hearts IV also on schedule, offering reassurance to fans eagerly awaiting those titles.
All of this adds up to a powerful message: Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis isn’t just a mobile replay of classic stories—it’s becoming a living hub of nostalgia, surprise crossovers, and celebration for fans in Southeast Asia and beyond.
