MONGIL: STAR DIVE Reveals New Korean-Inspired Region ‘Sura’ at G-STAR 2025
New Characters and Legendary Bosses Debut in Upcoming Mobile Monster Taming Sequel
Netmarble has unveiled a brand-new region called ‘Sura’ for MONGIL: STAR DIVE at G-STAR 2025, drawing inspiration from South Korean culture and mythology. This update continues the journey of the 9th Knights, including Esde, Flare, and Reina, while introducing a fresh storyline for fan-favorite character Mina.
The Sura region features a rich world where humans, the giant Togabi, and hybrid races coexist. Players will meet new Korean-themed characters like Jiwon and Gabi, alongside previously revealed Sangun, with architecture, patterns, and vibrant color palettes reflecting authentic Korean aesthetics.
Players can also face off against legendary bosses inspired by Korean folklore, including Togabi bosses Tuokshini and Haneul, influenced by historical ‘Tiger Hunters.’ Attendees at G-STAR 2025 experienced these updates firsthand through live demos, boss challenges, and developer interactions.
Netmarble shared that ongoing improvements based on CBT feedback include expanded character storytelling, balanced progression, easier access to gold and resources, refined Monster Ling capture systems, and overall UI and convenience enhancements.
Global pre-registration is now open via the official website, Epic Games Store, Google Play, and App Store. Pre-registrants will receive the 4-star character Francis and special rewards, including the unique Axolotl Sea Snail Monster Ling, unlocked through community milestones.
