Teamfight Tactics Introduces New PvE Mode: Ao Shin’s Ascent

Riot Games has announced a new PvE mode for Teamfight Tactics (TFT) called Ao Shin’s Ascent. This limited-time mode launches on September 25, 2025, following Patch 15.5, and will be available until October 8, 2025, at the end of Patch 15.6.
What is Ao Shin’s Ascent?
Ao Shin’s Ascent is a roguelite PvE mode where players climb a mountain, battling waves of enemies and increasingly difficult bosses. Players can strategically choose Augments to strengthen their team and adapt their tactics as challenges grow tougher. Each run encourages careful planning and creative team composition.
Guides Mechanic
Players can select a “Guide,” a character that provides special abilities to support their climb. Examples include:
- Zoe: Grants random loot to enhance your run.
- Battle Queen Gwen: Unlocks powerful items from previous TFT sets.
Choosing the right Guide allows players to adjust strategies and overcome challenges effectively.
Progression and Rewards
Players advance on a free Journey Track, gaining permanent power whether they win or lose. Reaching the summit with at least 12 Guides unlocks a special Ao Shin’s Ascent Portal reward, offering additional incentives for dedicated players.
Special Bundles
- Ao Shin’s Ascent Pack (575 RP): Includes an emote and two exclusive Guides – Truth Dragon Yasuo and Battle Queen Gwen.
- Ao Shin’s Ascent Mega Bundle (2,780 RP): Contains all items from the previous pack, plus Legendary Little Legend Awakened Ao Shin, Sol Harbinger Ao Shin, and the second K.O. Coliseum Pass Plus.
