2XKO Enters Global Early Access on October 7 with First Impact Tournament Program for the Fighting Game Community

Riot Games has announced that 2XKO, the new 2v2 fighting game bringing together iconic champions from League of Legends and Arcane, will enter global Early Access on October 7, 2025. Available for free on Windows PC without any invite codes, the launch also marks the debut of First Impact, an official tournament program designed to empower the global fighting game community. Over 22 community-run events will receive Riot support throughout 2025, with major competitions planned across Southeast Asia in November.

Early Access marks the beginning of a new era for 2XKO. Season 0, the game’s first season, will kick off on day one alongside the release of the 10th playable champion. All progress made during Early Access, including unlocked champions, skins, mastery rewards, and more, will carry over permanently. Looking ahead, the game will feature five seasons in 2026, each introducing a new champion, fresh content, and progression rewards.

Tom Cannon, Executive Producer of 2XKO, shared, “Early Access is the next chapter for 2XKO. The energy and feedback from everyone who joined the Closed Beta helped shape the game into what it is today. Early Access is just the beginning, and we can’t wait for players to see what’s next.”

The First Impact program aims to spotlight and support grassroots tournament organizers who are the backbone of the fighting game community. Riot will sponsor over 22 events across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, with community organizers handling the competitions and Riot contributing additional prize pools. Champions of First Impact tournaments will earn a Duo Bounty bonus of $2,500 and receive the in-game title “Local Legend” to showcase on their 2XKO accounts.

In the Asia-Pacific region, including Southeast Asia, three major events are already confirmed:

  • November 1–2: SOOP Super Tournament (Online, APAC)
  • November 15–16: INVATE APAC Cup (Online, APAC)
  • November 28–30: Thaiger Uppercut (Offline, Bangkok, Thailand)

Michael Sherman, Head of Global Esports for 2XKO, added, “Tournament organizers are the heart of the fighting game community. First Impact is designed to shine a light on them and the players who bring the scene to life. Whether online, local, or on the big stage, these events create rivalries and discover new talent. We’re excited to support organizers, emphasize the duo format, and open opportunities for players worldwide as 2XKO begins its competitive journey.”

2XKO launches into Early Access on October 7, inviting players to team up and dominate the stage. Learn more about the game and upcoming events at play2xko.com.
