How to Unlock the Treasure Seeker Skill in Where Winds Meet

A radar style skill that helps you track treasure chests with ease
In the open world of Where Winds Meet, one experience nearly every player shares is the sinking feeling of walking past a treasure chest without noticing it or missing valuable items by accident. It creates the constant worry that something rare might have been left behind.
Fortunately, the game includes an essential Passive Skill called Treasure Seeker that highlights chest locations directly on the map. This convenience does not come easily because unlocking the skill requires specific attribute values that must be earned through consistent effort. This guide explains everything from the starting steps to attribute farming methods and extra tips that help you unlock Treasure Seeker as efficiently as possible.
How to activate the Treasure Seeker skill
Treasure Seeker appears under the Exploration Skill category within the Development menu. Follow these steps to access the skill:
- Open the Development menu
- Select Details
- Click the shovel icon
- Enter the Exploration Skill section to find Treasure Seeker inside
This skill is extremely valuable because, once unlocked, all treasure chest locations become visible on the map across various regions. It eliminates almost all problems involving missed loot.
Before learning Treasure Seeker, players must gather two required attributes:
- Perception 75
- Elegance 75
How to increase Perception

1. Collect Birdies across the map
Whether you are in the starting regions or exploring the city of Kiong, Birdie collection points appear frequently. Gathering them consistently allows steady Perception growth.
2. Complete Archery Competitions
These competitions offer one of the fastest ways to raise Perception. Players need to complete three rounds to gain the attribute reward. Combined with Birdie farming, this method ensures that Perception reaches the required level smoothly.
3. Gather Oddities in the early regions
The first region of the game provides the highest Perception income from Oddities. Players seeking quick progress should focus their exploration there. Oddities differ in the attributes they give, so caution is needed. For example, purple flowers that require jumping through two rings may give Constitution instead. Other Oddities like frogs, flying pigeons, or nest formations also provide different attribute types depending on the encounter.
How to increase Elegance

1. Pet Cats in various areas
Multiple zones contain cats that grant Elegance when petted, including locations with high cat density such as:
- Meow Meow Temple in the northern part of the first region with more than ten cats, plus one hidden near the waterfall
- The area north of Fairgrounds where the Kitty Cat Cafe contains many hidden cats
- Ghost Light Market where players with the Ghost Armor set, obtainable through the March of the Dead quest, can explore safely to find approximately six ghost cats
2. Eat food from street stalls
Each dish purchased from food stalls grants between one and two Elegance points. The most efficient method is:
- Locate food bowl icons on the map
- Talk to the vendor
- Buy ten signature dishes to reach one hundred friendship
- Purchase five additional special dishes
- Receive Inner Way Chess and two hundred more friendship points
- Consume all food items to increase Elegance quickly
