Nioh 3 Free Demo Now Available on PS5 and Steam
Fans of hardcore action and Souls-like combat should not miss this one, as Nioh 3 has officially launched a free playable demo starting today on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The latest entry in Team Ninja’s dark fantasy action series delivers a full next-generation experience, showcasing intense battles between humans and demons set against the brutal backdrop of feudal Japan.
The demo includes early-game content, allowing players to explore large-scale environments, battle deadly Yokai, collect rare weapons and loot, take on optional side quests, or challenge powerful bosses right away. A full character creation system is also available, letting players customize both the protagonist Tokugawa Takechiyo and their companions. Most importantly, save data from the demo can be carried over directly into the full version of the game.
Online Co-op and Limited-Time Bonus
The demo also supports online multiplayer co-op, enabling up to four players to team up and tackle enemies or explore dungeons together. As an added incentive, players who complete the demo before February 15 will receive a special in-game cosmetic item, the Twin-Snake Helmet, which was previously exclusive to Alpha test participants.
Important Note
The Twin-Snake Helmet can also drop from the enemy Jakotsu-baba in the full game, but it is classified as a high-tier item with a very low drop rate.

Players begin their journey as a formidable warrior and gradually rise toward becoming a shogun, fighting directly on the battlefield. The game features a semi-open world structure filled with powerful enemies, survival-focused combat, and an expanded online experience. The story serves as a prequel to the original Nioh, placing players in the role of Tokugawa Takechiyo, a legendary figure destined to unify the land.
