Devsisters Plans Global Expansion with Two New Cookie Run Games
Devsisters, the developer behind the popular Cookie Run franchise, has revealed its 2026 strategy to expand and evolve the Cookie Run IP for a global audience. The plan focuses on creating a cohesive multi-universe while launching new games across different platforms.
Multi-Universe IP Strategy
The company intends to systematically connect over 500 characters and multiple game worlds, allowing each title to maintain its unique gameplay while being part of a larger interconnected universe. This approach will optimize the use of the IP and reduce the burden of introducing new characters in future titles.
Updates to Cookie Run: Kingdom
The flagship game, Cookie Run: Kingdom, will conclude its Act 1 storyline in March 2026. Following this, a new multi-universe narrative structure will begin, gradually integrating story elements that link to Cookie Run: OvenBreak and other titles in the franchise.
New Games and Platform Expansion
Devsisters will introduce new games with diverse genres and platform availability:
- Cookie Run: OvenSmash – Real-time action combat game.
- Project CC – Casual RPG planned for multiple platforms.
- Project N – Open-world 3D action RPG built with Unreal Engine, expanding beyond mobile to PC and consoles.
Expanding Cookie Run Beyond Games
The company also plans to enhance offline engagement through exhibitions, pop-up stores, fan festivals, and esports competitions. These initiatives aim to establish Cookie Run as a cultural brand beyond gaming. Previous successful events have already demonstrated strong merchandise sales, encouraging Devsisters to further integrate offline and digital experiences.
