Konami Survey Lets Fans Vote on the Next Metal Gear Solid Remake
Konami is giving fans of the legendary stealth-action series a direct voice. The company announced that it will conduct a survey asking players which Metal Gear Solid entry they want to see remade next. The questionnaire will be available after the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Production Hotline livestream at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) next week, giving fans a chance to weigh in on the future of the franchise.
According to details shared by Metal Gear Network, one of the key questions asks: “Which Metal Gear game would you like to see remade?” The survey lists multiple options, including:
- Metal Gear
- Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
- Metal Gear Solid (PS1 original)
- Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
- Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
- Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
- Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Notably, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is excluded since it is already being remade as MGS Delta: Snake Eater, recently revealed as the latest entry in the series’ remake initiative. Since MGS3 marks the chronological starting point of the saga, fans speculate that the next logical choice in timeline order could be Peace Walker, followed by Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain.
Still, many fans have long requested a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid on PS1, making it a strong contender to dominate the poll results.
Beyond remake discussions, the survey also hints at the existence of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 2, which has yet to be officially announced. The first volume launched in 2023, bundling MGS1, MGS2, and MGS3. Even though more than two years have passed since then, the follow-up collection appears to remain part of Konami’s roadmap.
This survey marks a rare opportunity for the community to directly influence Konami’s next move. Whether the spotlight turns to the original PS1 classic, Peace Walker, or one of the later entries, fans now have the power to shape the series’ future direction.
