Exciting News! Assassin’s Creed Shadows Switch 2 Launch Date Revealed

Ubisoft Confirms December Launch for Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Ubisoft has officially confirmed the launch date for the critically acclaimed action RPG, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, on the new Nintendo Switch 2 console. The popular game, which immerses players in a massive, detailed Feudal Japan, is officially scheduled to arrive on December 2, 2025. The Switch 2 release follows the game’s initial launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC earlier this year, finally bringing the open-world experience to Nintendo players across the world.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to feature important optimizations for the new platform. For instance, the game will include full touch screen support. This new feature will simplify the navigation of menus, maps, and the in-game hideout. This specialized control option ensures a smooth and player friendly experience for those utilizing the handheld mode.

Moreover, the port will support cross-progression via a Ubisoft Connect account. This allows Southeast Asia players who have already started their journey on other platforms to seamlessly continue their progress on the Nintendo Switch 2. This flexibility offers a significant benefit for veterans of the franchise.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available for $59.99 in both digital and physical formats. It is important to know that the physical version will be distributed as a Nintendo Switch 2 game key card. This means players must download the full game before starting.

The Switch 2 port will include all free post launch content updates that have been released since the game’s initial launch. However, the Claws of Awaji DLC expansion will arrive on the console at a later date, currently scheduled for early 2026. This massive title allows players to choose between two unique protagonists: the swift Shinobi Naoe and the formidable Samurai Yasuke. They must navigate the vast open world of historic Japan, exploring spectacular castle towns, busy ports, peaceful shrines, and gorgeous rural landscapes. The game has been praised for its refined open-world systems and gameplay design.
