1. Exploration and Resource Gathering Tips

Exploration is one of the core pillars of Arknights Endfield. Valuable resources are scattered across the map, often hidden in elevated or hard-to-reach areas. Always explore thoroughly, as early resource collection directly impacts factory progression and combat efficiency.

2. Movement Mechanics and Traversal

Standard jumping is often insufficient for long distances. Instead, perform a dash before jumping to greatly increase your horizontal range. This technique is essential for climbing platforms and crossing wide gaps.

For resources placed at higher elevations, use an aerial attack while mid-air. The attack animation provides a small upward boost, allowing you to reach items that are otherwise impossible to collect with a normal jump.

3. Resource Collection System

AI-controlled teammates can help gather resources, but only after you have manually collected that resource type at least once. Whenever you encounter a new material, make sure to pick it up yourself first.

Afterward, teammates will automatically collect those resources, pick up enemy drops, and assist with base-related tasks, greatly reducing manual workload.

4. Smart Mining Strategies

You begin with a portable mining tool, which works well early on but fills up quickly, forcing frequent trips back to storage. To improve efficiency, prioritize acquiring electric mining equipment as soon as possible.

By setting up power poles and signal towers, mined resources will be transported directly to storage automatically. This saves a significant amount of time and allows you to focus on exploration and combat.

5. Team Building Is the Core of Gameplay

One of the biggest pitfalls for new players is careless team composition. Simply placing favorite characters together does not guarantee good performance.

Damage calculation in Arknights Endfield is complex, and team synergy plays a crucial role. A well-structured team will outperform a collection of strong but incompatible Operators.

6. Arts-Focused Team Playstyle

Arts-based teams rely on elemental damage and interactions. You can either stack the same element for burst damage or mix elements to trigger disruptive reactions.

Using the same element repeatedly triggers Arts Burst, dealing heavy direct damage. Mixing elements creates Arts Reactions, which can freeze, shock, or apply damage-over-time effects depending on the combination.

The four Arts types are:

  • Heat, which causes burning
  • Cryo, which freezes enemies
  • Electric, which shocks targets
  • Nature, which corrodes enemies

7. Physical Damage Team Strategy

Physical teams focus on delivering massive burst damage instead of sustained attacks. The general strategy is to weaken enemies first, then finish them with powerful abilities.

Combat flow typically follows this pattern:

  • Launch or knock down enemies to inflict vulnerability
  • Use crushing or piercing attacks to amplify weakness
  • Finish with ultimate skills for massive damage

Some elite enemies have a stagger gauge. Filling this gauge will temporarily stun them, creating a prime damage window.

8. Combat Survival Tips

Managing Heavy Attacks

Every character has a Heavy Attack that activates after several normal attacks. While powerful, these attacks have long animations that can leave you exposed.

To avoid this, cancel the animation immediately after the hit connects by dodging or activating a skill. You still deal damage while skipping the vulnerable recovery phase.

Using All Four Characters Efficiently

You do not need to switch characters to use their skills. While controlling your main damage dealer, you can activate other Operators’ skills simultaneously.

All four characters share a pool of 3 Skill Points. Skill Points regenerate over time and recover faster through Perfect Dodges and Heavy Attacks.

  • Combat skills consume 1 Skill Point
  • Combo skills do not consume Skill Points but require conditions and have cooldowns
  • Ultimate skills require full energy

Smart rotation and crowd control chaining dramatically increase damage output.

9. Equipment Optimization Basics

Priority One: Core Stats

Always match equipment stats to your character’s primary attributes such as STR, AGI, INT, or WILL. Primary stats are significantly more valuable than secondary stats.

Priority Two: Skill Damage Bonuses

After securing correct stats, look for percentage damage bonuses that align with your damage source. For example, skill-focused characters benefit most from combat skill damage bonuses.

Priority Three: Set Bonuses

Set bonuses are powerful but should be treated as late-game goals. Their true value only appears at high equipment levels, so do not prioritize them early.

10. Understanding the Gacha System

Arknights Endfield features multiple gacha banners, each with different mechanics.

New Horizons Banner
Beginner banner with 60 pulls guaranteeing one 6-star Operator and a weapon selection at the end. Uses special tickets.

Basic Headhunting
Standard banner with a guaranteed 6-star every 80 pulls. After 300 pulls, players can directly choose any 6-star Operator.

Limited Character Banners
6-star guaranteed every 80 pulls with a 50 percent chance for the featured character. If missed, the next 6-star is guaranteed to be the featured one, requiring up to 160 pulls in the worst case. Guarantees do not carry across banners.

Arsenal Exchange
Weapon gacha using tickets obtained from character pulls. Every 4 pulls guarantees a 6-star weapon, with an 8-pull hard guarantee for the featured weapon. Weapons can also be purchased directly.

Summary

Arknights Endfield may feel challenging at first, but there is no need to master everything immediately. Start by focusing on a single damage type, either Arts or Physical, and build a team around it.

Practice canceling Heavy Attack animations, learn enemy patterns, and do not stress over equipment set bonuses early on. Make sure to manually collect new resources so AI teammates can assist later.

With proper planning and steady learning, the game quickly becomes fluid and deeply rewarding.

Good luck, Endministrator, and enjoy your journey on Talos-II.
