Konami Announces The Prince of Tennis Sweet School Festival and Doki Doki Survival Remasters for Switch and Steam

Otome fans can finally rejoice as Konami revives two of its most beloved romance classics from The Prince of Tennis series. Both Sweet School Festival and Doki Doki Survival are set to return in fully remastered editions after more than 20 years, arriving on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. While these titles will launch with Japanese-only support, the excitement from longtime fans is undeniable.

Originally released on PlayStation 2 between 2005 and 2007, these games became iconic among romance visual novel players. The remasters preserve the original storylines, voice-acted dialogue, and core gameplay while adding newly drawn still illustrations. Players will also have the option to switch between the original PS2-era visuals and the newly enhanced artwork, offering a nostalgic yet refreshed experience.

The remaster of The Prince of Tennis: Gakuensai no Ouji-sama (Sweet School Festival) is launching as part of the series’ 20th anniversary celebration. First released in 2005, it became a fan-favorite for letting players build romantic bonds with their favorite tennis characters. The remaster keeps its heartwarming story intact while enhancing it with fresh visuals to make it more immersive than ever.

Meanwhile, The Prince of Tennis: Doki Doki Survival returns with remasters of both Yama no Mystic and Umibe no Secret, originally released in 2006 and 2007. As with Sweet School Festival, the games keep their fully voiced storylines and romance-driven gameplay, now paired with additional new still images to enrich the experience.

These remasters are more than just ports—they are a celebration of the franchise’s legacy and a chance for fans to relive the unforgettable moments of The Prince of Tennis in a modern format. With updated visuals, preserved charm, and a wave of nostalgia, otome fans have something special to look forward to.
