Silent Hill f Horror Game Gets Official Novel Release in Japan on October 30

Fans of Silent Hill f can now experience the series’ horror in a brand-new way, as Konami teams up with Kadokawa to release the official novel adaptation of the game. Written by Shiro Kuro (Twitter: @kuromentaiko), the novel is scheduled for release in Japan on October 30, 2025. An English-language edition has not yet been announced.

The game and novel stand out with their 1960s Japan setting, taking place in the fictional rural town of Ebisugaoka, inspired by Kanayama in Gero, Gifu Prefecture. This setting creates a unique atmosphere that is both beautiful and terrifying.

The narrative and worldbuilding involve Ryukishi07, known for “Higurashi When They Cry,” handling the story under the concept “Find the beauty in terror.” Character and monster designs are created by the artist kera, adding a distinctive visual style that enhances both the game and the novel’s eerie charm.

The story follows Hinako, a high school girl who discovers that her hometown, Ebisugaoka, is shrouded in mysterious fog. Strange, nightmarish creatures appear relentlessly, and Hinako must survive while uncovering the town’s hidden secrets.
