Google is taking a big step to make phone calls on Android more personal. Leaks from the Phone by Google beta app suggest that the My Calling Card feature, allowing users to create their own digital calling card, is close to launching. Unlike the previous Calling Card feature, which only let users assign images to others, My Calling Card works like Apple’s Contact Poster, letting your profile appear on other people’s devices.
Creating Your My Calling Card
The setup is simple. Once available, users can open Settings in Phone by Google, select Calling Card, and tap Create to start designing their first card. Users choose a Google account, then customize the card with images from the Camera, Gallery, or Google Photos.
Customization options include fonts, text size, and color themes to match personal style. After finishing, a Preview shows how the card will appear, with a note that images may be slightly cropped to fit different phone screens.

Privacy Controls
Google allows users to choose whether their My Calling Card is visible to everyone or only contacts. Additionally, if a friend has already set a personal Calling Card for you, your card will not override theirs, preventing confusion and duplication.
Launch Timeline
Although Google is releasing My Calling Card later than expected, beta version 204.0.852029473 shows the feature is nearly complete. Testers and general users can likely try it soon.
Why It Matters
My Calling Card adds a social and creative element to Android calls, perfect for users who enjoy personalizing their devices and showing their style. Get ready to pick your best photos, soon friends will see your digital calling card every time you call.
