Neurable Partners with HyperX to Unveil the Industry’s First Brainwave-Reading Gaming Headset

Neurable has made industry history by announcing a strategic partnership with HyperX to unveil a prototype gaming headset capable of detecting and analyzing brain signals. This marks the first time neuroscience technology has been integrated into a gaming wearable, with an official demonstration showcased during CES 2026. The reveal highlights how gaming is rapidly entering an era where artificial intelligence and neural systems are deeply interconnected.

Josephine Tan, Senior Vice President and President of Gaming Solutions at HP, shared that HyperX has always been committed to developing technology that empowers players. Through this collaboration with Neurable, players will gain deeper insight into how focus, mental fatigue, and cognitive performance directly affect gameplay. These insights are expected to become a key factor in pushing competitive performance to new limits.

This announcement aligns with the continued growth of the global gaming industry, which generated an estimated USD 187.7 billion in revenue last year and is projected to exceed USD 213.3 billion by 2027. At the same time, the gaming wearables market is expanding rapidly, opening the door for brain-sensing technology to potentially become a new standard device for gamers worldwide, including across the SEA Region.

The HyperX prototype headset integrates Neurable’s proprietary sensors to provide real time insights into a player’s mental state. Early pilot testing using Neurable’s Prime system revealed measurable improvements in esports performance. Players demonstrated faster reaction times, improved accuracy, and higher scores in FPS training scenarios by adjusting their playstyle based on mental fatigue and excitement levels.

Test data showed that general players improved reaction times by an average of 43 milliseconds and landed nearly nine additional successful hits. Professional esports athletes experienced even stronger results, with accuracy increasing by nearly three percent and average hit counts rising by more than 21. These results highlight how understanding brain states can significantly enhance training efficiency compared to traditional trial and error practice.

Ramses Alcaide, CEO and co-founder of Neurable, concluded that the partnership with HyperX represents a major step toward bringing brain technology to gamers on a global scale. He emphasized that the future of gaming will not rely solely on physical reflexes, but also on understanding the mind itself. This collaboration signals a shift in turning advanced neuroscience from research laboratories into consumer-ready products accessible to everyday players.
