Nintendo Expands the Weird: Talking Flower Arrives This March
After surprising fans last year with the Alarmo alarm clock, Nintendo is back with another quirky item: Talking Flower, inspired by Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Unlike a standard display figure, this flower is designed to be a talking companion, greeting you with iconic game lines or muttering random nonsense about twice an hour—bringing your home the colorful chaos of the Flower Kingdom.
The Talking Flower’s features are simple yet charming. It has a single button to hear a random phrase or hold it down to silence the flower temporarily. It also includes a temperature sensor that comments if the room is too hot or cold. You can even set it to give morning greetings or say goodnight. The flower supports 11 languages, including Japanese and English. However, it has no screen or LED lights; all communication happens via voice, even battery alerts.
The Talking Flower is priced at $34.99 USD and is more affordable than Alarmo. Pre-orders are available now via the My Nintendo Store and select retailers, with an official release date of March 12, 2026. Fans of Mario who want a cheeky flower companion on their desk won’t want to miss this.
Mario Wonder Gets New Content on Switch 2 Edition
Alongside the toy announcement, Nintendo released a new trailer for Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, set to launch March 26, 2026. This upgraded version adds the Meetup in Bellabel Park area with new challenges and a unique power-up, the Bellabel Flower. This white, bell-shaped flower plays a key role in unlocking secrets in the new amusement park area alongside the returning Koopalings.
This move highlights Nintendo’s ongoing commitment to creating fun and unexpected experiences that bring the charm of its games into the real world. The Talking Flower is another must-have for fans, even if it occasionally mutters odd phrases at you.
March is shaping up to be a busy month for Nintendo fans, with the talking flower, upgraded Mario Wonder content, and new Amiibo designs all releasing around the same time—promising a full celebration of the next-generation Switch experience.
