RedMagic Unveils Astra Golden Saga Limited Edition Flagship Gaming Tablet

Premium materials and gold-plated cooling technology

RedMagic has officially kicked off 2026 with the announcement of the RedMagic Astra Golden Saga Limited Edition, a special flagship gaming tablet designed to elevate both performance and luxury. This limited edition model introduces a refreshed design that looks more aggressive and premium, clearly positioning itself as a collector-grade device for hardcore gamers.

The tablet features a transparent back panel made from sapphire glass, rated at level 9 on the Mohs hardness scale, offering exceptional scratch resistance. Beneath the glass lies a carbon fiber pattern comparable to materials used in supercars, while gold-accented lines and logos complete the design, giving the Astra Golden Saga the look and feel of a true masterpiece.

Gold-Plated Cooling System Breaks New Ground

The centerpiece upgrade of the Golden Saga edition is the Golden AquaCore Cooling System, an industry first that incorporates both gold and silver into the tablet’s cooling components. RedMagic employs a dual-layer vapor chamber plated with real gold to improve heat transfer efficiency from the chipset to a high-speed turbo fan spinning at 20,000 RPM.

According to RedMagic, this advanced cooling solution can reduce device temperatures by up to 8 degrees Celsius, resulting in more stable frame rates during extended gaming sessions compared to the standard model.

Flagship-Level Hardware and Display

Under the hood, the Astra Golden Saga delivers top-tier performance powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It is paired with 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and ultra-fast data access.

The tablet is equipped with a 9.06-inch OLED display with 2.4K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. Touch input is handled by a Synaptics touch controller designed to remain accurate even when hands are sweaty or wet, making it ideal for intense gaming sessions.

Battery, Audio, and Gaming-Focused Features

Powering the device is an 8,200 mAh battery, which RedMagic claims is the largest in its size category. The tablet supports 80W fast charging and includes Bypass Charging, allowing power to flow directly to the system without passing through the battery. This helps reduce heat buildup and prolong battery lifespan during long gaming sessions.

Audio performance is handled by dual large speakers with DTS:X Ultra 3D sound, delivering immersive audio for both gaming and movie playback.

Price and Availability

The RedMagic Astra Golden Saga Limited Edition is now available for global pre-order starting January 19, 2026, with an official launch price of USD 1,349. Each Collector’s Bundle includes a special Kevlar magnetic case and a numbered VIP card, emphasizing the limited nature of the device.

RedMagic expects shipments to begin before March 13, 2026, making this a highly sought-after premium gaming tablet for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
